10-Minute Parmesan Pasta
Creamy, comforting & unbelievably quick
Sometimes you just need a warm, satisfying meal—fast. This creamy parmesan pasta is ready in just 10 minutes and made with only a few simple ingredients. It’s rich, silky, and feels like something you'd order at a cozy Italian restaurant—except you’re making it in your own kitchen in less time than it takes to set the table.
Ingredients (serves 2):
200 g (7 oz) spaghetti or fettuccine
1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
150 ml (⅔ cup) heavy cream
50 g (½ cup) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional: fresh parsley, mushrooms, or grilled chicken
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta
Boil a pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. While the pasta cooks, prepare the sauce—this is where you save time.
2. Start the sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (don’t let it brown).
3. Add cream and cheese
Pour in the cream and reduce heat to low. Stir gently, then add the grated Parmesan cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce turns creamy. Taste and add salt and freshly ground pepper.
4. Combine
Drain the pasta and add it straight into the pan with the sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated. If needed, add a splash of the pasta water to loosen the sauce.
5. Serve immediately
Plate up, sprinkle with more cheese, chopped parsley, or your favorite toppings (like sautéed mushrooms or chicken). Serve with a slice of crusty bread and a glass of white wine—if you like.
Quick Tip:
Use freshly grated Parmesan, not the pre-packaged powder. It melts better and makes all the difference in flavor.
Why it works:
This recipe skips unnecessary steps and keeps it clean: butter, garlic, cream, cheese. That’s all you need for a velvety, restaurant-style pasta dish in 10 minutes. It’s beginner-friendly, family-friendly, and endlessly adaptable.
